Our Program Evaluation Criteria
How we evaluate and present AI, ML, and data science graduate programs.
What We Measure
Our program database is descriptive, not prescriptive — we present the data that matters to applicants and let you filter and compare based on your own priorities. We do not produce a single ranked list, because what makes a program "best" depends entirely on your goals, location, budget, and specialization.
Data We Collect
For each program, we collect: degree type and level, format (online, on-campus, hybrid), location, tuition and cost range, program duration, specialization focus areas, industry focus, typical career outcomes and salary ranges, curriculum highlights, admission requirements, and application materials required.
Data Sources
All program data is sourced from official university program pages. Salary and career outcome data is sourced from program disclosure reports, BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook, and self-reported data from platforms like Levels.fyi and LinkedIn Salary. We update data at least annually.
Editorial Independence
AI Graduate is editorially independent. We do not accept payment from universities to be listed or featured. Programs are included based on relevance and completeness of available data, not commercial relationships.
